About Me
I am qualified and registered member of the BACP who supports individuals and couples through relationship challenges with warmth, calm and deep presence. With over ten years’ experience in mental health across a variety of settings, I offer a space where you can feel truly seen, heard and understood - often in ways that may feel new or long overdue.
My approach is rooted in humanistic therapy, guided by the belief that you are the expert on your own life and hold the power to heal. My role is to walk alongside you with openness and compassion - helping you reconnect with your own clarity, confidence and inner strength. Many clients describe our work together as gentle, collaborative and deeply validating - a place where they can finally let out a breath and be themselves.
I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, with a particular interest in Internal Family Systems (IFS), which helps clients explore and understand the different “parts” that make up their inner world. I am also training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), expanding my ability to support clients healing from trauma and overwhelming life experiences. I believe that our early life experiences influence the person we become, and how we relate to others.
Mindfulness is at the heart of how I work. Rather than a technique, it’s a way of being - offering acceptance, empathy and authenticity that will allow you to feel safe enough to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. This grounded presence helps create the kind of therapeutic relationship where meaningful and lasting healing can happen.
A big part of how I work comes from my own life experience. As a mum, and as someone who has walked through grief myself, I understand how life can stretch us, soften us, and sometimes break us open in ways we never expected. I know what it feels like to stand at a crossroads, to face decisions that change everything, and to navigate moments that feel overwhelming or deeply painful.
These experiences help me meet clients not just as a counsellor, but as another human being who has been there. They’ve taught me patience, compassion, and the importance of being truly present with someone who is hurting or uncertain.
Combined with my cultural background and many years working in management, I’ve gained a deep appreciation for the many different pressures, identities, and stories people carry. My hope is that when you sit with me, you feel understood on more than just a professional level -you feel met, gently, by someone who genuinely gets how hard and beautiful life can be.
